About the 'European Play and Learn' Project

The Comenius Project provides opportunities for schools to introduce and strengthen the European dimension in their curriculum.  It allows pupils and staff from across Europe to work together on joint projects.  One such project is the European Play and Learning Project.

This project involves eight schools in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany and Poland working together as partners to explore how playground games and using the outdoor environment of the school for teaching helps children develop important skills. We hope that children's emotional, physical and social skills will grow as a result of participation in the project.

This website has sections for each school including information about each school, its location, pupils and staff, and the country in which it is located. In time, you will also be able to see what project activities have been taking place at the school with photographs and examples of children's work.

We hope you will enjoy exploring our site and find out for yourself how Europeans play and learn!
